DESCRIPTION: Synthesis and identification of new nuclei is a pertinent que
st having profound implications ranging from understanding fundamental int
eractions and astrophysical processes to energy applications.  One import
ant route to access  new proton rich nuclei is by studying the spontaneou
s proton emission.  These studies with modern accelerator facilities are
often supported and guided by calculations based on rigorous theoretical f
rameworks. The talk will focus on such frameworks primarily by solving a t
ime dependent Schrödinger equation and appropriate angular momentum coupl
ings.  Some important results obtained through  our collaboration will b
 e discussed.
