DESCRIPTION:Synthesis and identification of new nuclei is a pertinent ques
t having profound implications ranging from understanding fundamental inte
ractions and astrophysical processes to energy applications.  One importa
nt route to access  new proton rich nuclei is by studying the spontaneous
proton emission.  These studies with modern accelerator facilities are o
ften supported and guided by calculations based on rigorous theoretical fr
ameworks. The talk will focus on such frameworks primarily by solving a ti
me dependent Schrödinger equation and appropriate angular momentum coupli
ngs.  Some important results obtained through  our collaboration will be
  discussed.
