Hadron spectroscopy historically confirmed the standard quarkmodel for mesons and baryons, but discoveries of exotichadrons defy its simple quark-antiquark or three-quarkdescriptions. What exactly these states are remains an openquestion. This seminar will summarize progress in heavy hadronspectroscopy and discuss the main interpretations for exotic states.It will also cover our group's recent studies that apply particlemultiplicity and femtoscopic correlation methods to identifydistinctions between various proposed exotic structures.
