Multi-Higgs Doublet Models and softly-broken symmetries
Guilherme Oliveira Gaspar
This dissertation presents an analysis of the scalar sector of two different Three Higgs Doublet Models that are invariant under the discrete symmetries Σ(36) and Δ(54). The study focuses on different Vacuum Expectation Value alignments and the mass spectra associated with each model.
For every case, the effect of introducing Soft Breaking Parameters is examined, along with their implications on the physical properties of the models. The work also investigates the decay channels of the Higgs bosons and identifies a dark matter candidate. Finally, the phenomenological consequences of these models are discussed, including the possibility of Domain Wall formation, which motivates further investigation in future work.
