The Horizons, Singularities and Censorship in Gravitational Collapse Workshop will be held at Instituto Superior Técnico from 13th-16th July 2026.
About:
Gravitational collapse remains one of the most fascinating problems in physics. Despite sustained progress over decades, the precise nature of the end state of collapse and the status of the various formulations of the cosmic censorship hypothesis continue to raise deep conceptual, mathematical, and physical challenges. In this focused meeting we will bring together researchers working in classical general relativity, numerical relativity, quantum gravity and relativistic astrophysics to critically assess the current status of these problems and to identify concrete directions for future developments.
