Professor Ilidio Lopes awarded the UL/CGD Scientific Prize

The University of Lisbon (ULisboa), with the support of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, awards the annual “University of Lisbon/Caixa Geral de Depósitos Scientific Awards”, which “...aim to reward scientific research activity and international publication of high quality and impact.”

In the 2024 edition, 44 researchers were honored in various areas of research. In the area of “Physics and Materials”, the winner was Professor Ilidio Lopes, current Chairman of the IST Physics Department and of the IST Center for Astrophysics and Gravitation (CENTRA).

The award ceremony took place in the Great Hall of the Rectory of the University of Lisbon on June 25th.
