Teaching Assistants
The Department of Physics (DF) regularly involves teaching collaborators from various categories. Expressions of interest are solicited annually from students of LEFT, MEFT, and doctoral programs in the DF. Teaching collaboration in the DF is considered an important part of the students' own training and, therefore, highly desirable.
Expressions of Interest:
Students enrolled in the 3rd year of LEFT, in MEFT, or in any of the DF doctoral programs can express their interest in becoming collaborators of the DF. Collaborators should have good academic performance in the topics in which they will be collaborating. Expressions of interest are made by filling out an online form that is made available to potentially eligible students.
Types of Collaboration:
Teaching practical or laboratory physics classes to IST students, supporting assessments, or assisting in other pedagogical activities of the DF. Collaborators are expected to commit a total of 6 hours per week, and in the case of teaching classes, they will preferably teach 3 hours per week. Collaborators are typically hredi for periods of 10 weeks.
Selection Method:
The selection of candidates is based on a curricular assessment, their previous experiences in tasks similar to those they may undertake, their availability, and their preferences.
