Recent progress in the construction of more realistic (non-supersymmetric) black-hole microstates that could account for the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy has yielded novel families of regular and horizonless black-hole mimickers. In this talk, I will briefly review the known classical phenomenology of these “topological solitons”. I will then report on the current effort to model the full nonlinear dynamics of these microstate models with a Numerical Relativity approach.
