Smart Colloidal Nanocrystals Towards Smart Electronics
Santanu Jana
Resumo:
Smart colloidal nanocrystals, namely colloidal chalcogenides and halide perovskites, have recently received much attention due to their extraordinary properties, such as tunable, very sharp emission, faster carrier recombination, low-threshold lasing properties, and higher stability in ambient atmosphere.
How do these properties change with different shapes, especially for two-dimensional systems, e.g., nanoplatelets? How the exciton behaves when they are assembled in solution? Also, how do they transport charge electronically inside smart devices in solo form or composite with MXene (unique 2D materials)?
What about their photodetection limit in visible or near-IR? I will talk about these and what we reported in our recent work. Also, I will talk about future prospects in different electrochemical energy conversion applications of these materials.
